My apologies for the 90 minutes of downtime experienced on the website. I don’t know yet what the issue was but the tech folks fixed it and will probably report in to me on the nature of the issue.
Of course one never want the site down, but it seems to happen once a year or so. When these happen this 71 year old is pretty helpless to troubleshoot it so we have to count on the tech folks.
UPDATE–the cause of the issue today was a bot attack on the site causing massive bandwidth spikes. So the site was not totally down, just painfully slow. The bots have been blocked.
