Read through the release on EIC looks good but I picked out the notice they have an atm program going on both the common and the preferred EICB. Normally I don’t like atm programs because just when you think increased value will add value to a limited number of shares the company dilutes the value by issuing more shares.
Charles—I focus on the NAV per common and coverage ratio in the ‘senior securities’–both are pretty darned good.
Tim, I agree with your observation. Just thinking for an income stock I always try to buy based on wanting a long term hold, not for flipping. In this case another 4yrs to maturity. The points of interest you bring up are ones we need to watch over the long term. Why I have been buying ETD and preferred for a better layer of security even though the yield on the common is tempting.
Just another investment to keep an eye on and I am the one complaining I spend too much time watching my investments. Gives me something to do and to keep my brain working I guess.
Not quite to the point yet of parking everything in bonds, CD’s , T-bills and ute’s
