I have continually seen folks asking about yield to maturity calculations so I thought it was past time to have one on the website.
In the various menus you will see ‘yield to maturity calculator‘. This link will take you to the new page where your can check the various issues for returns.
I have recently found the calculator used and it seems to be a good calculator–please post a note here if you find issues–the best trial of something new is to have some folks use to see if it works correctly.
Convert those dates to the needed years in decimals – like 2.46 etc

Very nice. Thanks Tim. So much easier than fumbling through Fidelity screens.

To Infinity and Beyond, of course
So nice to have the YTM calculator nearby…THANKS
Thanks for adding the calculator.
It would be more accurate if “years to maturity” was “months to maturity”.
Nice and simple – a great addition.
Consider a small enhancement – add matures / 1st call as a date or even MM/YY and compute Years to Maturity / 1st Call
I did notice that (years to maturity) can be entered as a fraction so if months to maturity were 18 months it could be entered at 1.5 years.
danzeb–yes a person can mostly use their own method to work around shortcomings of this particular calculator.
mSquare–I will be always watching for something like you mention.
