Markets Reverse Course Tonight on Chinese President Speech

The equity markets which had backed off from a strong start today after a raid on the Presidents personal lawyers office are rising sharply tonight in futures market trading.

President Xi in China had spoke relative to lowering tariffs on auto and other items potentially opening up the Chinese markets to incremental imports.  Additionally Xi indicated that they may move to enforce intellectual property rights.  Intellectual property rights have been a top of mind for the President in his tweets threatening China with various tariffs.

Of course we all know that even though the DJIA futures are up over 300 points tonight they may well be lower by the opening of the markets in the morning.
