Brookfield Property Parners (BPY) has priced their new preferred units with a meager coupon of 5.75%.
This issue will generate a K-1 at tax time.

I see in the prospectus that each US shareholder needs to provide a W-9 showing their TIN / Social Security number. This implies some type of withholding tax on the distributions. Can anyone clarify how that works for Brookfield ? Thanks

bull2000–thanks for the update–I was afraid some of these suckers would do that to us–must be why I hold other Brookfield shares in my eTrade account.
